Scleromystax has been valid since 1864 but was largley unused, it was resurrected by taxonomists during a study of Corydoras, Aspidoras and Brochis in 2004.

Yes mate these are very placid, these are only small at the moment but Ive had adults before and they were equally as placid as these ones
