I’m interested in aquatic plants lately and most aquascapers uses scientific name, I’m not sure if they pronounced it correctly though and I wanna know how to do it correctly.

Here is how I pronounced fish and plants name, am I correct?
Fish:
Paracheirodon > pa-ra-chey-ro-don?
Scalare > s-ca-la-re?

Plants:
1. grisebachii > gri-se-ba-chi-eye?
2. barteri > bar-te-rye
3. Cryptocoryne > crip-to-cor-rene?
4. Bucephalandra > bu-ke-fa-lan-dra?
5. Ludwigia > lood-wi-gia?
6. tenelum > te-ne-lum

Can you guys please tell me how to pronounce them correctly?

Para-ky-ro-don
Bu-sef-a-lan-dra

The others are correct.

That’s how I say them anyway, but I think your way is also correct. Things like soft or hard ‘c’ are down to personal choice, (also ‘ay’ or ‘eye’ for ae).

I understand the reason for your question, but I was taught that, as there are no longer any native Latin speakers, and we speak in many tongues and dialects, there can actually be some debate over some pronunciations.
Fortunately, we do have the written word... ;)

That’s what I was taught as well.

What make me use Latin name is because the store often give you different plants when you don’t said it, e.g., Pearl Grass, they will either give you HC cuba, Monte carlo or M. micranthemoides.

Good point, but when I've used the Latin names, I get that dull, open-mouthed stare. Even Apistogramma once confused, until I shortened it to Apistos.
Having it written means it can be compared to a store reference.

Exactly!! And even when you get someone who might know certain scientific names, they pronounce them COMPLETELY different than you do, and you are both giving each other weird looks...

Only thing is in most languages directly derived from Latin (French, Italian) and even in Dutch / German etc...) "i" is not pronounced as "eye" but as your "ee"

Latin "ae" as "eye" btw
