i've had this project for about a month and i've ran out of ideas. Any one got anything to help me?

i have to do a powerpoint presentation on bettas, i have to say facts about them. i've said about the different tails and about the fighting and i have run out of ideas

how about the cruel, small death traps bettas are kept in,Try searching on google "betta housing" or "betta tanks/bowls" what about the internal make up of the fish, like how it can breath air. what about in the wild, where does it come from?breeding etc.

I actually did a powerpoint on bettas last semester for my small animal management class, got a B+ on it. I talked about the different tail types, the origin of bettas, proper care (i.e. tank size, food, water changes etc.) I talked about breeding habits, why its important to house males alone etc. And I did a whole section on common betta myths (i.e. bettas can be kept in tiny glass bowls, bettas don't need water changes because of where they live in the wild, etc.) Hope I helped!!

your right about that, betta fighting on yourtube is SO wrong,have you dont about thier colors/patterns, they are some interesting one out there

You should include this picture in the powerpoint! I think it's hilarious. Someone from this forum took it at their lfs a while ago, i cant find the topic though.

ive seen that picture before somewhere, it makes me laugh every time, somepeople know squat about keeping bettas, they just lie about total crap to make sales

Hmmm maybe I can find my old outline, that would be a lot of help I think you should mention though that even though over here we feel betta fighting is wrong, because of how haphazardly its done, in other countries its part of the culture and the fish are treated very well.
