i have a silver scat he has grown from aprox a 10p size to aprox 8 cm in no time at all aprox 4-5 months.
I feed all my fish on frozen food mostly blood worm and shrimp
CAN SOME ONE PLEASE TEL ME JUST HOW BIG THIS WILL GROW
when i drop a frozen block of food in he gets it and sucks most of it in with one suck LOL

Your silver scat will reach at least 20 cm in an aquarium, and will get to that size well within the next year. Wild specimens (supposedly) get to twice that size, but I've never seen a silver scat that big in a home aquarium.

Scats are omnivores and feed extensively on plant matter. When given just meaty foods, they're constantly hungry. So, lay in some blanched lettuce, sliced cucumber, pondweed (such as Elodea), cooked peas, and so on. Basically try anything soft and green. Let the scat fill itself up on that stuff rather than meat.

Cheeers, Neale

When I first got my Silver Scats, they were about 5cm in length. I have had my Silver Scats for around seven months now and the biggest one I own is about 13cm in length. Just to give you an idea of how fast they grow. I feed them on chunks of cucumber, frozen prawns, bloodworm, brineshrimp (amongst other things) and their staple diet consists of JBL NovoRift sticks.
