Saying Goodbye To fishies.

Well we are Selling our tank, we have just had news that the fishies are being taken on tuesday next week, it's going to break our heart!

We have had tanks up and running for a good few years and things are going to seem so different without them.

I stopped keeping fish about 20 years ago. We moved, there was replastering and messy decorating things to do in our new (old) house, it never seemed the right time - and we were busy with other things.

But a couple of months ago, I just felt really motivated. We bought a tank or two, and we are off again. Just cycling now. So much has changed and progressed!

You'll come back to it if aquarium water runs through your veins!

why is it that you have to sell your tank?

We are selling up and moving into a rented property, very hard to find a place to live if you have a tank that size, most people don't want to know.

It's such a shame that you have to get rid such a lovely tank!

I just moved myself and can fully understand how hard it is to find an apartment with floors that can support a lot of water. I was just lucky to find a new building that has concrete floors under the carpets, or I would have had to do the same.

I hope that once you get settled you will at least get a smaller tank and get back into the hobby. And please remember that even if you don't have fish for a time, your experience can still help the folks on TFF. We'll miss you if you leave.

Thank you Inch, That was a lovely thing to say. We will still enjoy seeing everyone elses tanks and hearing about their fish.

This forum has been such a great help to us, and we definalty will not be leaving.

Maybe a while down the line when we get ourselves settled we will own another tank, I'm not sure wether we will have such a large one again.

I'm not looking forward to tuesday, going to be such a sad day, the fish and that tank have been such a big part of our lives, going to be strange not having them anymore.

I hope we can sell the tank to a member of this forum, then we will be able to track its progess and see what pleasure it will be giving someone else.
