Honestly, wal-mart does a better job with its live fish than petco does.

The betta cups are the biggest I've seen anywhere.
The only bad thing is that the dragon goby isn't labled brackish. There were no dead fish.
And the best female bettas, Including a greed one.

The maintenence was much better than that of petco's, and argueishly as good as petsmart.
No where as good as most my LFS, and no great selection, but still not bad. I'd say petco does much worse.
And they're ment for pets.

isn't is just a case of 1 wal-mart store being better that another, over here our biggest pet chain store is pets at home and maybe 8 out of 10 stores yu just wouldnt buy fish from but the other 2 out of ten might be ok to buy from dew to the people who run it do a better job than there other stores (still wouldn't buy any fish from pets at home even if it was one of the good ones lol)

I'm seriously tempted to go back for that female green betta... she was gorgeous...

my walmart is pretty good. The next closest one to me was horrible though. white spot and fungus all over everything. Each fish on the brink of death. It was really something to see. I wrote them and they fixed the problems. Now there quality is much improved. Going on a fish forum and writing about it made me feel better but writing wallmart actually got something done.
