I don't know what happened, he was fine when I went to bed, but when I woke up, there I found him, laying belly up in the gravel, I was about to get him in the net to flush him, then I realised he was still breathing! So I rushed him to a hospital tank, and added quite a lot of Doc. Wellfish's Aquarium Salt. He quickly went from laying on his back, to laying at his side. So, I took a shower and got dressed and checked on him, he was up completely, still laying there, but looked better. So I went to school. When I came back, I check on him right away, and he was swimming around the tank! Right now, he seems better. But I noticed this red spot on him. Only on one side I never noticed before. Is that bad? Either way, I'm glad I saved him.

Good job.
I haven't lost a fish by disease for atleast a year, but its cool that you saved him!
My 2 swordies died by jumping...the first one by supries...the second, by meer luck.
Now I just need my preggy female to jump and I'll be on a roll.
Now in that tank its just 2 females, and 2 cories.

I saw him dead right after school today. he got throught the small space I didn't recover.

A gap. A gap in the back of the hood.
Funny thing is, when I flushed him, he was completley dry. must've been out of the water before I left for school...

Good job, Oppositearmor! Congrats. :D

What was your latest water tests in the big tank? The hospital tank may have had better water quality which is why he perked up. And can you describe this red patch more? Or take a picture? :)

The water levels were fine, as I used water from the main aquarium, and as I have said, my test kit sux and need to get a new one. The red spot looks like a really dark blotch in the center of him.

At Roseville Petco you can get a 'Managers special discount' because a test kit was opened and returned. I think it was about $20-30. I bought one that was unopened, and was alittle more expansive.
I wanted the one I got because it tests high PH, which'll work for my cichlids....
