So I saved a pleco(common i think) might be a sailfin i can never tell them apart
Anyways saved this little 12" or so pleco from a 55gal tank to bring him home and go in my 180gal tank.
All is good until he decides to rescape all my crypts. Had to replant 20ish plants this morning.
Now the battle is on...he'll win i know.

Now i need to get some kind of cave for him
Any ideas for caves

Sounds abit daft but I use a cave for a reptile for my pleco, I've got a stone one so it doesn't turn toxic in the water ;-) they sell them in pretty much every pet shop

I'm very much a fan of flower pots! I have several in my 55 gallon (which I bought used and also had a 12" sailfin pleco in it). I also like to use those slate slabs that you can get for about a dollar to two dollars at your local hardware/gardening/home improvement warehouse store. You just break them into the pieces you want to use, boil for thirty minutes, get some aquarium safe glue and arrange! Then let it sit for two to three days. It goes right in the tank after that and looks splendid!

Please don't boil your rocks; it's not necessary (scrubbing in hot water is enough) and they can explode :/

He should settle eventually. Plecos can get destructive when a bit stressed but then he'll learn all the layout and won't fly around like a rocket sweeping stuff. Despite the size of them, they still like polishing small plant leaves so maybe he was cleaning your crypts from algae :) It's strange that he uprooted them because crypts have quite a big root system when established. Mine is just 8" and he may break a leaf or two but can't uproot them.
I agree with the guys, a big cave or driftwood would be great for him as a place to hang around.
