Do I need to wait for my tank to mature before I can get one of these for my maroons? I found a place that actually carries these once in a while and today is the day they get their new fish and corals.

These are very hardy corals. As long as your lights are up to it then it should be fine. Ask your shop if the Sacrophtyon will be ok.. They will know what lights its under already and should know what you have in comparison.

ok, next question Should I head down there now and try to find one before they acclimate it so it doesn't get extra stress. also, is 2 hours long enough acclimation or should I go longer?

apparently they only order 1 per week. The one they got this week was about 1/4th the size they usually get It was really small. Guess I'm waiting another week
