Sand

Afternoon all, i've just bought a 2nd hand 2 foot tank and am wanting to use sand as substrate, i also have a tank just under 3 foot, anyway i've bought 2 15kg bags of argos play sand, do you think this will be enough for both tanks or will i need more?

i Brought argos play sand aswell. That amount shoul be fine for boththe tanks. I have a 2foot by 1 foot tank and only used half a bag

Thanks for that, might have to buy another tank to use the excess sand up, result!!!

Or have it as deep as u want and get some MTS in there..

Actually that isn't true... the toxic gases DO build up but as soon as they hit water they dissipate into harmless gasses (that smell bad!! ew! But they won't hurt your fish.)
