Sand For My Guppies/platies

Ok guys!
 
I'm looking to change from Gravel to Sand for my substrate, and I want a good sand color to allow my fish to really pop out in the tank. They are gorgeous.
 
I have a light blue male Platy (more white than blue) and a panda platy. My guppies are a Bright neon (Yellow/blue) Lyretail, a red/yellow/blue Cobra, 2 silver/blue fancy and a bright Red/Orange Fancy.
 
I also have a brown common pleco, but he may go into my bigger tank soon.
 
Any suggestions?

Black is the first that comes to mind.
 
How big is your tank?

This tank is a 20 gallon.

Light colored and bright fish, black sand. Stellar!

I've just changed from regular sand to black sand and what a transformation! Going to do it for my fry tank too!

You're welcome, I only did it yesterday, I should have done it to begin with. The only slight problem with mine is-my male guppy is black haha! But you wont regret it! Remember to post pics once it's done!
