Hello,

Well when i had my oscar i had problems in the tank.. not threatening to him, but really dang annoying to me. Their are these little things crawling around the sand that look like fleas but the color of the sand.

Now i dont have the oscar anymore so i emptied the tank, took it out back and gave it an ice cold shower with the hose. Brought it back in, bought new sand and placed it in the tank. Let the tank sit for a couple hours added filter and cleared up the tank (ALMOST, still blurry). Now i didnt have a problem until now, which may be because i can see in the tank now. But i look very closely at the sand and their are little 'sand fleas' crawling around again! I got pissed when i saw them!

What can i do to get ride of these stupid things!

Their is currently NOTHING in the tank right now except for one plant.

I need some ideas to get ride of these things, they are too small to get a picture of, but just big enough to see. And now i think im having the same problems in my heavily planted 20 gal tank.

Any suggestions? Please help!

Thank you alot

yeah I think you could have a problem with plant waist sand fleas ussually appear when there is like a not a balance of water in the tank when the tank is too stagnet it get sand fleas the best way to get rid of them is to keep the tank airated and keep the filteration going I suggest you have some water problems maybe stagnet like a swamp you need to find a new water tap and kill the germs with a special liquid disinfectant
specially for fish these buggs are not going to go I say clean out the all the rocks and stones again and again over and over untill they are all gone they are little micro buggs and bacteria that can kill the fish you need to be able to identify these buggs before you start adding new sand or stones.

Well, the water is moving well, and i dont ever have it sit still really. Their is nothing like a swamp around here in Jersey, infact its really cold so i dont think their are many bugs around to be laying anythng.

what do you mean a new tap source?
One other than the ones going to my house?

Thanks
