she's stunning, sure she'll pair off with one male soon enough :)

lol okay I'll leave them and stop worrying now! i just need to get him to stop being so stroppy towards the gouramis, cheeky thing!

thanks =]

You definatley have a male and female now. Its because he was in the tank first - he needs to show his dominance! When I first put my female in my male attacked and chased her, then he completely ignored her, now they are a real pair never straying far from each other and all is peaceful! :lol:

They are just setting the papers straight. It is normal dwarf cichlid behavoir. Even though peeople say that dwarf cichlids are only from Soth America, I have to disagree. I hope you have fun with your kribs. Oh and, there arre not many tankmates for breeding kribs, as they are VERY agressive. You could add a pair of bristlenose in this tank if you want. Do you still have your ram? If so, get rid of her. :good:

things are still a bit iffy lol, but im sure itll settle down, im going to add some more coconut caves and some more plants, then add some tetras and some pearl gourmis, tetras and maybe some larger loaches so they wont be harrassed by them!

then for my 15 g im going to add a pair of apistos and my rummy noses again! or some pentazona barbs...hmmm

ah my ram in back in my 28g again now and shes all better! seems like the crisis is over

update: he still hates her, and charges around the tank after her, poor girl....he does it to the gouramis to but they dont really care lol

Male kribs can be very aggressive like that. I would not advise any dither fish for kribs. From what we have discussed in the tropical forum, the kribs would attack, and most likely kill, the dither fish during breeding. I think that the gourami should be fine though, watch out for aggression witht eh krib, because male kribs really like to pick fights, and from Glenbo's experience, they don't always win...

okay so its been nearly a week and things are looking up....sort of....

when he sees her he doesn't charge at her anymore, he sees inquisitive

if things dont get better do you think i should add another female, and see of he picks her, then remove the other?

G;ad to hear the update, I can't give any advice here. I am more concerned about my party tomorrow night. Wish I could help.

Told you it will take a little more time. :)

Just pleased to hear he's luring to love her :)
