These are the baby Bala's I've had for three days now.... They are about 1.5 to 2" and they are in quarentine in a 10G. I do a 25% water change everyday to keep them healthy and they will go in my 55 with the other two bala's I already have..... and yes, before you say it, I know the bala's grow huge and I have a plan for the future so don't worry.... anyway, here they are:

Yes I agree that they are quite beautiful when they get bigger! I have two in my display tank right now that are both about 4 to 5 inches in length and just like the jack, are on the chubby side. But it's just like they are real sharks, just that they would rather munch on an algae disc then one of my other fish.

I plan on moving all my bala's to prob a 150G one day and put an oscar in there with them. The oscar will start out as a baby and will just have to get used to the bala's. The bala's shouldn't get too frightened by the Oscar either as he will be quite small compared to them when I get him. I'm guessing in prob the next year this will happen. Kinda worrying about paying tuition for college right now so the money for a 150G (~$400 + cost of filter/heater/etc) so i got a little to wait. But they are happy in their own little ocean right now and besides being a bit skiddish, are quite curious and I love that about them.

O and...yes, i love how fat my jack is :p :D :fun:
