Salvini Behavior

I've recently notice my male salvini running his nose up and down the back side of my tank, his gills are flared up and its like he is fighting his reflection...lol...has anyone else seen this go on?

salvinis are nasty so and sos when the mood takes them . so i guess maybe he thinks his reflection is a competitor and is trying to see it off

Yes sound's like he's mirror sparing.........Do you usually notice this most when light's in room are out and room's dark and tank's lit up?
He can see a reflection and take's that as another male moving in on his turf

Thanks for the replies, i thought thats all it was, but just wanted to make sure..he does it both with the lights on in the room and off, i cant see if he does it when my moon lights are on but for all i know he does lol
