Salt Bath For Beat-Up Oscar, Wounds On Body, Torn Fins.

I have a beat-up baby oscar fish, about 4 inches long.
He has some wounds on his body (missing scales) and some split and torn fins.

Would a salt bath help him heal and regrow his fins?
If so, how do you conduct a salt bath?

How much salt, to how much water?

Unless the wounds are looking infected or fungused I wouldn't do a salt bath. Just keep his normal water in tip top condition

A good additive to help with mild injuries and torn fins is called Melafix. It is a tea tree extract and has mild antibiotic properties as well. Some of us find it smells awful, but it should help. I would add the the manufacturer claims it does much more than many folks believe it does.
