Hey, guess what. DH rang the customer services desk at RM today to complain that we had a load of stuff that we were waiting for that hadn't been delivered. About 10 mins ago the postman rings on the door with a plastic box full of parcels-about 8 parcels ....and in one of those was......a pile of squashed mush, which was probably at one time some frogbit. The stink was quite interesting -the roots are a mushy brown ick and there were only 5 leaves which looked anything like they had any green on at all. I have floated these in a bowl of tank water and am waiting to see how they do-the rest looked rather like they had been steam rollered! When I asked, the postie said 'oh yeah, we've got a bit of a backlog, and the RM said 'you have to allow up to 15 days for first class mail'!!!!!

Anywhoooo I received my new ones yesterday when I got home and they are lovely, a complete change from the first lot the postie screwed up!!!!
ishoholic- how much do you want me to transfer over? Sorry about the first lot not surviving, i tried my best and the other lot to the other address arrived about the same time as its my parents house, they did put them in water for me but they were pretty much a mush too - its very sad!

Depends what you mean by a lot. If you require >£10 worth of plants it probably needs to be sent recorded delivery. Perhaps postie will look after it better.

Well that explains a lot. I've not had any disruption at all to my post, but I guess some other parts of RM's network haven't been as lucky. Had a suspicion all was not well, hence included the warning in the item description. Wish RM would keep us informed of their problems, there doesn't seem to be any accountability at all. You have to just post your letter and start praying.
