My green sailfin molly had babies a while ago, but the fry seem to be growing very slowly. Is this normal? I have guppy fry in the same tank that were born two or three weeks after the mollies but are quite a bit bigger than them now. All my water readings are good, and they all get the same food. Anything to worry about?

Chill, Mark.

Any fry will only grow as quickly as they should with plenty of tank room!

Molly fry don't grow quite as quickly as guppies but aren't particulally slow!!!

Mollies grow very very slowly compared to most other fish. It can take mollies as much as a year to gain full maturity and size. To accelerate the growth try lots of live or freeze dried food and daily water changes.

I agree; if you're talking the time it takes from a molly being a day old fry to growing into a fully matured 3inch+ molly it can take a year or more. Supplying a large tank, good filter flow and water quality and a varied diet will help your molly fry mature faster but they are slow growers.
