I'm considering using SafeStart on my new tank - I have live plants in there. I've seen conflicting evidence of it's benefits.

Anyone got any ideas on if it's worth it or not?

I dont like using mass produced chem's in my fish tanks. There is a natural way to solve most any prob or complete any task. Many diseases require meds or else the fish will die, and this is understandable, but beyond some meds and a very simple de-chlorinator for wc's, i will not use any other chemicals in my tanks

it's bacteria not chemicals......as I've already told you I have nothing but praise for safestart, just make sure it's in date!
