Hi guys - im new here and need a little advise if you can......

about 2/3 months ago i purchased a larger tank to move my current fish into, so i could keep the smaller tank for my guppies babies so i didnt have to use the breeding net any more and to increase my community.
I went to my local pet store and purchased the new tank and some new guppies for the current tank but at the time didnt notice the white spots on the new guppies. A few days later i noticed the white spots only of one of the new guppies so went back to the shop and purchased some whitespot treatment and checked out the tank all the guppies in the shop tank had white spot i informed the assistant but i dont think he really cared! Anyway..... I used the treatment in the tank but this didnt help, all the guppies I had in my tank got the white spot and the guppy fry and all died, my other fish - albino catfish and neon fish survived! :-( i was extreamly dissapointed as my tank had been pretty much perfect until then!
I set up my new tank and all new fish in tank from a different supplier and everything is going great - now my question is, would it be safe for me to move the albino catfish into the new tank or would this be too risky as he may be a carrier of whitespot? Also would it still be safe for me to use that tank for the guppy fry?

Any help or advise would be great

As long as the catfish has no visible signs I'd move him in... I'd keep an eye on him thoguh just incase.

It's fine to use the fry tank again. Have yu refilledit or does it have the old water still in it?

At the moment he's showing no signs of having it, its been about 4 weeks now and could really do with a bottom feeder in the new tank.

The old water is still in the old tank, I did more regular water changes, as well as the treament at the time and I put Easy balance in the water every week, the water is looking alot clearer than it was looking, my main worry is if this is guppy only disease didnt want to put the fry in there and for them to die or to move to catfish and for him to contaminate my new tank....
