Safe Plants

has anyone had any sucess at keeping any sort of plants with sevs?

I was wondering if i heavly planted with amazon swords or somthing simmiler any damage might not be as noticable!?

sevs can uproot plants i can tell you that...

The only plants I found to be hardy enough to withstand Sevs is Java Fern and Anubias, even those they dont eat, but do like to play with causing damage.

Vallis they like to eat, Sevs are herbivours so plants tend to take a battering, try putting plenty of veg in the diet that you feed them and they may be less inclined to eat the plants around. Personally I gave up with plants with Sevs and got some decent silk plants.

ditto minxy there. i gave up too cos even the ones they wouldnt eat they would uproot and play with . save yourself some time moneyand frustration and get some nice silk ones

Vinny eats java fern I only have stalks left on the wood The Rotkeils dont touch Java fern though.

vinny was the worst sev i ever had for eating plants. nothing was safe , hed wait til he thought you werent looking then chow down.

Yes he is a sneak when it comes to plant munching and moving the plastic & silk plants about. I love it when I catch him in the act, he just sits motionless in the water with his eyes rolling as if to say "wasnt me!"

He has now taught Seymour the gold sev to turn sumersaults too although he hasnt got the hang of going completely upside down like Vinny does.
