Safe For The Aquarium?

I have been after a cave/house for my bettas but wanted something a little different, today i found some Terracotta Chinese Style garden ornaments (like THIS ONE) but the ones i saw are painted

Is there a test i can do to see if there safe for my bettas, am thinking the viniger test? any suggestions

I think vinegar test should do the trick.

are thyy glazed at all?

I would say they are not, if they are painted. Probably ok if they are glazed.

Vinegar test won't work, it pretty much only shows if the rock will harden the water and/or dissolve over time which would not work on potentially toxic paints.
