Hey peeps, was wondering if you could help....

I have a blue gourami who is approx 7 years old. Yesterday I found him in the top back left corner
of the tank (furthest away from the water filter) with his mouth at the top of the water, looks quite thin and bent in to an S shape. He isn't gasping, his scales all seem fine and his fins and tail seem fine too.

All other fish (3 cardinal tetra, 1 ram, 2 krib and a pleco) are absolutly fine.

I have a 75 liter juwel tank, I have checked ph levels which are all ok, I also did a 1/3 water chage last night to see if that might perk him but alas, he is still poorly.
I have not added any medicine's yet.
Do you think that he could just be old or is the S shape a sign of a disease??
Please help

I think a photo would be a huge help.

It is most likely a sign of age at this point. In my experience, many fish will become deformed toward the end of their lives, usually in the last 1-3 years.

I think this would be the logical explanation at this point. I know that a Golden Gourami can live around 4-8+ years, so maybe the blue Gourami has a similar lifespan.

James.
