Ruby Barbs

Hi...

I was just wondering if a schoal of 8-10 ruby barbs would be ok to add to my current tank?...The tank already has 7 tiger barbs 1 small convict (female) and 1 red tailed black shark.

I have 2 Black Ruby Barbs (I think they're the same thing) and they live in a tank with Rosy Barbs and Tiger Barbs. I haven't had any problems so far.

I find that they have similar behavioural characteristics as Tiger Barbs so they pretty much hold their own.

They'll be fine in there. They are not as aggressive as Tiger Barbs, but with that many, I doubt you'll have a problem. The Convict may well be a problem when it gets bigger, they are bad tempered nasty things.

Yeah, they should be fine but I'd also watch the convict...
