rosy barbs can be aggressive but if you have them in numbers they focus the aggression on each other, they're like tiger barbs in that they nip long fins and are very active which can cause other fish to get stressed out, lovely though. as for the plants, a lot of plants don't need high temps, swamp/marsh plant for instance is very hardy
