Im not too sure never kept ropes myself but with what ive seen would the ropes eat them? Im sure the ropes might be able to get yoing ones in their mouthes. Somebody please correct me if i am wrong
Not worth the risk IMO - Clawed frogs are predatory - rope fish are quite thin and could be grabbed - equally an adult rope fish could eat a small frog... not worth the risk Lets not be silly!

Actually the rope fish I had grew quite large in my 120 gallon. Over 18 inches and started eating most of my tetras. Then found out that very few pet stores wanted large rope fish back. So I would say they are both predatory. Get a dwarf African .. They are cute and dont grow. Got one in my sons 5 gallon, it's harmless.
