This is probably a stupid question but do pre-dissolved root tabs work like liquid fertilizers for plants that aren't mainly root feeders? Or just putting a tab in the gravel and letting it dissolve for those plants? Like java fern. I don't have any other fertilizers right know. Thanks for any input as to wether this will work or not! I have no idea!

If you mean the tabs you put under the sand, then I'd presume they're for root feeders. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but I wouldn't expect it to help java fern much, though it is a fairly hardy plant and should do alright without ferts (I know mine does). Btw, is this in the wrong section? ;)

Yah,, I didn't think it would work. Oh oups! It probably is in the wrong section
