:p

The water butt containing 30 gallons I keep in my house for large water changes goes up to 24 degrees celcius when I stick the heating thermostat on 24 overnight. I imagine the water will be brought up to room temperature. I suppose that could be effected by drafts/location near radiator/other household heating though.

Why don't you fill a bucket of water and place it where your tank will be and leave it to sit overnight. You'll know for sure when you test the temperature the following morning then.

I would have thought it would eventually rise to the room temp , but depending on the size of tank it could take a while to get there.
Also drops in temp at night would affect it dramatically too.

As king kenny said ..

put a bucket of water in the romm and see what occurs.
