Rocks

So I am changing to sand in my tank, and I want to just get random rocks from outside, near a river. What exactly do I need to do to have it ok to put in my tank with my fish?

Should be pretty much ok mate, a long soak and scrub in some boiling water and they will be good to go.

If you find any with like a mineral line running through them then leave them behind as they can affect your water parameters. You could also try the vinegar test. If it bubbles then it's no good.
