rock question

ok so we have this rock bed in my back yard and well i plan to scrub and boil the rocks about 5 time do you think it will be ok to put these in also where can i get slate?

Wether they are alright for the tank or not depends on what type of rocks they are as some like limestone and sandstone based rocks or ones with metal ore in them can change the ph of the tank. You might be able to find slate rocks at your lfs or local gardening centre, as long as you wash them thoroughly in plain tap water with no cleaning chemicals they will be fine although you only need to boil them once at most.
