Hi for those of you who saw my other post about my new Betta, well this is Star:

I only had him for four days when the strange brown circle appeared on his side. This photo was taken this morning. I came home from work this afternoon and he was dead

Sorry for your loss, If he was ill hopefully hes out of his missury. Not saying you dident treat him well. You probs gave him a good home for his last few days.

Looks like he had bad fin rot when you got him... that probably somehow infected his body... RIP I love his colouring.

He was brillient the first couple of days- bubble nest & everything, then he slowed down & I saw the brown bit. I did a a little bit of a water change & he perk up a bit this morning but, well, yeah...

My other tank is fine everybody is pretty small (apart from the black moors) and I'm going to upgrade agian in about a year or so when I'm properly settled.

Thanks guys I didn't think I'd get all those replies! I'm going to get a new Betta at the weekend (seen a real nice red one witch I couldn't get till now, hope they still have it!) It's a real shame Star looked real nice with his fins out, cool blue

um they all seem pretty happy and the water is clear, I know I'll have to clean them out a bit more often than before & that I am at the limit for this tank but I didn't realise there could be problems?
