:byebye: :rip: :-( :(
I'm so Gutted! i had barely had the chance to get to know them and they're gone. when i went to feed them i could only see 5, so i started looking around trying to search them out. I couldn't see them anywhere and so i really started to panic. :( then i noticed a whiteness on the back of my CO2 ladder. i popped it off the rear glass and up floated 2 little bodies :-( :-( :-( they must have squeezed through the little holes on the ladder and gotten stuck and the CO2 must have suffocated them. i can only assume that Moonlight was chasing cupid and thats how they both ended up in there. :-(
Stupid CO2 unit  the ladder is now just floating in the tank and i'm ordering a glass cup diffuser from ebay instead. i'm not risking it happening again.

i phoned my boyfriend in tears, but i don't think he understood how i feel :-( i hope that you guys do.

i was so worried about doing something wrong and hurting them, but i never even considered that this could happen. :(

So Goodbye Moonlight and Cupid :byebye: :rip: :byebye: You will be sorely missed.

Poor things. A similar thing happened in my mums boyfriends cichlid tank, but the filter inlet strainer fell off and a female fish that had just hatched and cared for some babys and had more eggs on the way got sucked up and stuck in the filter pipe and died, it was a shame because it was one of his first fish and was seven years old and it went in that way.

RIP Moonlight and Cupid

I am so so sorry for your loss. I totally understand how you feel. I had this beautiful HM/spade tail. Then, we were using the homemade filters that my bf made, out of a plastic peanut better jar or something like that. All the bettas had them without incident. It was a differently shaped tank he was in too. Anyway, somehow he got stuck between the filter and the side of the tank overnight, and he died. I was sooo devestated! I only had him a few days, and I really wanted to breed him. I did get his brother though, which helped. I still miss that fish, he was so beautiful!

So I understand what it's like to be devestated over the loss of fish. I'm so sorry for your loss. They were beautiful!
