Last night, my heater malfunctioned, and heated the water to a very high temperature, cooking my betta alive.

I feel terrible, because the heater was working perfectly for the month I had it.

It left weird crusty’s above the water line...

I bought it used off of Craigslist, and it worked fine for about a month.
