It makes me so sad to lose him. It makes me even sadder that I knew what was wrong, but couldn't do anything about it. A few days ago, I was doing water changes in my betta tanks. Dante got excited, and jumped out of the net. He took about a six foot fall onto a very hard piece of plastic. He had suffered internal damage. I could not euthanize him, I did not have the proper supplies to do it humanely. He passed away this night. He was truely the only red vt I had ever liked.

:rip: Dante

I only wish there was more I could have given you.

Oh, that's so sad to lose such a gorgeous Betta in that way. Must have been very upsetting for you. Sorry for your loss.

:( Athena

Thanks guys.

The sad thing is, I want to get a betta in his tank, because the sight of his tank empty, is just kinda disturbing to me. :/

You know what?

You gave that fish opportunity and a healthy life. I'm sure you had a very personal relationship with him. You provided EVERYTHING plus more. He could have died slowly in a small cup.

Getting a new guy with a different personality is a good remedy for mourning. Let a new betta wiggle at you in a LSF and u'll be hooked.

:)

I kinda want to get one, but I need to learn to save my money. I keep blowing it all on energy drinks. lol. Than I have to save some money to see "The Happening" next week.

Anyway, back on subject. I've never seen a betta with a more interesting personality than Dante. He flared at everything. No joke. I would walk into the room and he would just be randomly flaring!
