You have inspired me to copy off your tank kind of, I think i'm going to get one of those blue LED lights, do they just plug in or something? I'm also thinking about building layers in my tank like you, but I don't think i'm going to have enough substrate. So maybe just two layers?

PS - Thanks for the inspiration!

Thanks Neal, right the bue LED spot light plugs into the wall via a transformer and because this one is designed for garden ponds it has a really long cable which is very handy. Some hindsight advice now for the layers, put in your lower level then if your gonna use pebbles get some of varying sizes so when you build your barrier you can fill all the little gaps up a bit, this should stop the top level sinkning too much.
Good luck and don't forget to post some pics when you have finished

I got my Co2 system built and running on sunday, I had a few probs but thanks to the experience and advice of MrG, its all working well. :)
And to make a good weekend great a friend phoned me to tell me that the LFS had t5 lighting units at 50% off so of course I jumped at the chance. I now have 2.46W per Gallon. I need to keep tessting my water over the next few days to determine the amount CO2 my system is generating. Then I just have to sit back and wait :D
