Rio 180 And Polystirene?

Just about to set my Rio 180 up and i have seen around a few people putting a thin layer of polystirene under the tank.

I just wondered if i would need it on the Rio 180 with stand.

If so does anyone know where i can get hold of some?

This is totaly dependent on whether it has a "floating base" or not. Do you know whether it does?

The Rio 125 has a floating base and doesn't need any polystyrene, so I would think the 180 is the same. You only need polystyrene if the whole of the glass bottom of the tank is in contact with the base, not just the rim.

Rio 180 does not require polystyrene under it .
