His nest is massive and high, she's fit to burst but every time he tries to get near her she runs away lol, they been in together for about an hour so we'll see how things go as the day goes on

She is so barred and so fat you'd think she'd go for it, I keep going to check and she's either hiding or swimming away from him fast, he's being so lovely to her, he is flaring but he's not attacking her

Mine were together for a day or two as well, if you can try getting some early morning light on them, seems to be a good aphrodisiac for bettas. I'm putting mine together today, a black male and blue female, they worked well last time so should just get on with it this time. I hope...

I think my male betta is gay

he flared for about 5 mins, then got bored. I havnt seen him flare since then and there are NO bubbled.
