Hi all,

I put a small 10x10cm mesh of riccia in the tank 8days ago and have seen no real growth on it - still looks all green and healthy - just not realy pushing through the mesh.

Does this plant need more in the way of ferts or is this too short a time to expect a visible growth? The only thing i am using at the moment is some substrate fert tabs - but obviously the riccia hasnt rooted down into that. The other plants (onion plants etc) seem to be growing well.

Any advice would be appreciated :good:

Standard lighting from the fluval tank with 1 hagen co2 kit installed (other details in my profile)

That is usually around 1WPG - not nearly enough for Riccia. You'd hve to increase the light to see growth on Riccia.
