Heres The original thread http://www.fishforums.net/index.php?showto...t=0&start=0

I thought id move the thread over here to give it a new lease of life. For anyone who does not know about my tank here are my specs.
Its an aqua one 620 aka 90 litres of water.
For lighting i currently have 2 x 18 power compact lights in 50/50 blue white. Tomorow i will be purchasing 2 x 55w pc's though because i want more challenging corals. I also have blue LED's for moonlights. Nothing fancy there. For water movement i have a seio 620 and a 750lph pump that suplies my overhead filter. For skimming i use a TMC v2 400, had a lot of headscratching with that but it works like a charm now.
As for things that are alive I have 12 kg of fiji live rock, pulsing xenia, stripey mushrooms, some other mushroom, yellow polyps, 2x occ clownfish, a 6line wrasse, skunk cleaner shrimp, 4 scarlet hermits and a peppermint shrimp. I did have a cyphastrea but it sorta melted away.... :(

Heres a picture of it in the very begining

then i had an accident with the skimmer leaking on the elctrics and had t move the tank downstairs. I bought another 3 kg of live rock and it became this

then after returning a bicolour dottyback and buying a sixline, then buying blue chromis' it became this

then the chormis died. so i left the fish at that. this was when i started adding corals

Looks like Culerpa and Chaetomorpha. Loogs great Rhysiboy :good:

yer it is caulerpa. I have 5 algaes dotted about places - albeit some are just little tiny bits. I have the caulerpa, chaetomorpha, red grape algae (off adam c), some like grassy stuff (def not hair algae, too thick and green) thats near the bottom of my rocks and i have some red caulerpa too. The left side is pretty much dedicated to algaes.

its just really gone like that. Im gonna try and keep the right side for corals. I hope to stock it mainly with LPS, mainly euphyilla but i also want a brain coral for the sand. Wooo getting my new light today :) = afternoon of 'altering' my hood

Hi to everyone - update, one for the tekies.

bought my lights, 55w of interpet lighting. I decided against buying the 2 x 55w pcs because id have to gutt the hood and get rid of my 36w of light atm. That would of given me 110w of light for near enough £80. I decided to keep the lgiths i had an put the on 55w in the front of my hood. This means i have 91w of light, only 19w difference and this only cost me £60. I also bought a reflector too to boost teh light.

Anyway a pictures worth a thosand words

Its much much brighter and all the corals seem much happier. Now to pay back my sister the money i borrowed

The bigger one was only 3" longer and was £4.50 more i was like what thats just a rip off. With my LFS sometimes they do have one or two things overpriced but they are a big place and arnt doing aswell as they did last year so im expecting prices to have a slight raise..
