I made the drive out on Monday, and despite the long drive, it was well and truly worth the effort.

On entrance there is a great selection of around 40 various tanks, ranging from 10ft to the smaller size. A giant Gourami lives in the tank to the right of the door. The left wall was like a cave of wonders: Many Many species that i didnt even know were available in Australia particularly in the Cichlids and Rainbowfishes. A wide range of Tetras, as well as some rarer species such as the freshwater sole reflect the good conditions. Not a single corpse was visible in any of the tanks. They were all set up according to the correct enviroment, and information for the species were placed adjacent to each tank. If a tank contained recently arrived specimens or was under quarantine for ailment a sign was placed alerting customers that the fish were not for sale.

Along the right hand wall a very extensive range of plants are kept, along with their correct names, not to mention the mature heights for each species. Together with this a selection of JBL, Hitachi, Nutrafin and nearly every other major brands products are kept or available on request. The books available would make a library proud.

The staff were extraordinarily helpful, and certainly very knowledgable: when buying the Saulosi that I treked out there to purchase i was quizzed as to whether my tank was new(or cycled and mature), and if the conditions were right for african cichlids given that they are non compatible with standard species. Every question was answered thoughtfully and helpfully, and they are happy to make enquires for you as to the availability of rarer species, and order them in.

Definitely Highly Reccomended, far better than anything I have seen otherwise in the Melbourne region for Tropical and Coldwater species. No Marine stock is currently available unless ordered.

Bit of a long drive for me, would be live a 20,000mile round trip, lol.
But if I ever go there one day!!
