Hi,

I am looking into buying a reverse osmosis system for my new marine set-up.

A quick question . . . . .

Does the system run all the time like a protein skimmer, or do I just use it when doing water changes????

Please help!!!

you just use the ro unit to purify the water before you add it to the tank, so only at water changes...

if you look in the tff sponsors section osmotics do some great deals we go ours for 54 quid including P&P

You just use a RO unit to purify water for tank use like water changes or top off water. It can be set to run all the time if you wish to store extra water. RO units run fairly slow and can take awhile to get the amount of water you need. If you don't know how RO units work I would advise talking to one of the RO manufactures like osmotics so you can best determine your needs
