Returning To Lfs

when you return an unsuitable or mis-sold or to large of a fish, how often have you got a refund/exchange or a credit note? also how often do lfs refuse to take back fish?

Depends on the store really, some are much more willing to take back and refund than others. I don't know where you are at but petsmart they'll take your fish back for refund if you have the receipt. Other places will take them back, but don't expect a refund from most of them.

However, if they sold you something that was obviously wrong for your tank after you gave them specifics or a mislisted fish I would complain, as that is their fault for giving wrong info.

It all depends on the LFS.

Some will gladly take a fish without any exchange to you.

Others will not.

You just need to call and ask.

Usually most LFS have a 'X' amount of day(s) return policy on all fish.

I'll go with the rest. It just depends on the place. I'm friends with my lfs owner and we live in a very small town. She likes to keep her customers happy.
