well last night was a trip, i had a real diffiult time falling and staying asleep (despite the mountian of cold meds i took ahead of time) my bettasand the rest of my fish live in my room. now the room is mostly dark say be it the tank heater lights. only friday has this little light in his tank which occasionally lets me see in and see if he is asleep or not. as i got up and down over the nightost of it i didn't see my little brown betta, i was a little annoyed sure he sleeps. anyways around 4 i had enough and got out my game system a DS and started playing. about a half hour later i saw him up and around, i told him to go back to sleep and shut down my game assuming it was the light from the system that had woken him up.
so anyways i guess upon reflection this story isn't that amusing. i could sware i heard him tell me go back to sleep too.

anyways enjoy your day :)

He probably figured you were porking out on bloodworms without him, lol.
Sorry to hear you're sick - if you're anywhere you can get Nyquil, it usually knocks me right out and I have chronic insomnia.
If you can sleep through the worst of it, you'll also do the bulk of healing in your sleep.
On reflection, he was probably just offering sympathy, because you weren't feeling well and couldn't sleep.
What more noble an act can there be, than a fish's shared vigil with 'Mum' in such a supportive cause?
Get well fast.

I know how u feel, with my back injury I have trouble sleeping a lot of the time and last night I was tossing and turning for hours. My little boy cinnamon whose tank is right next to my bed, was staring at me everytime I looked at him throughout the night probably saying "sheesh mom, can u please go to sleep so I can" lol

it was him and my black kitty in the my avatar pic, both stayed up with me.
i am sure part of it was come on mom go back to sleep, i am sure others have had there pets symthize with them when they are sick.

I just recently had my surgeries, and the entire household stayed up with me. All 4 great danes huddled up on the floor of my room, the cat on my pillow, the parrot clucking at me all night...and 4 fishtanks worth of staring...lol...

I think that kept me up more then the pain lol...
