Boris and Doris have gone to the great tank in the sky. I woke this morning to the sad sad sight of Doris stuck in the bars of the cage I have been using to feed the fish their veggies. I think she may have done this deliberatly since I later found my male Swordy, Boris, dead in the plants. Boris had obviously been dead for several hours longer then Doris. Doris will no longer be seeking to overpopulate my tanks with her batches of over 100 fry at a go. They will be sorely missed.

With Boris I have no clue as he has not looked sick or shown any signs of illness. He was looking a bit old and tired yesterday though and I have no idea how old he was when I got him so I am hoping it was old age. Doris just got stuck. I hope the others saw this and will remember that being the fattest one in the tank may not always be a good thing. The cage has been removed.

Oh Paul, I'm so sorry. I shall truly miss hearing of Doris and Boris's attempts to repopulate the world with swordies. May their children continue the tradition.
