Well decided to rescape my fry tank. Not exactly a necessity but thought why not, especially as it is a rainy bank holiday.

Some of you may remember my thread about cheap tanks. Well this is how it looks now. The only thing it has cost me is £5 for one filter and 99p for a heater holder. The funny thing is that i have since found a heater which had the holder with it, and also another filter which is exactly the same as the one i bought... typical! Also found a light and made a little drain pipe holder for it. Lined the drain pipe with silver tin foil for a reflector. Cut the pipe to size so it sits nicely on the top of the tank. Used a splitter for my air pump so i could run both the filters. Turned out to be a nice little tank. Rescaped the bottom with a few rocks and some slate on top of the gold gravel which was in before.

Snapped a few pictures, but the light is a bit bright so the pictures have turned out worse than i thought plus they're from my phone. The water is also a bit cloudy at the moment from all the changes. Added a few cuttings from plants in other tanks, but may replace with fake if i can find a few cheap ones on my travels. Also going to look for a different back ground if i can find one in the wallpaper section of B&Q... :shifty:

So, here is my £5.99 tank!

Started off like this:

Now looks like this after about half an hour of attention today:
