Hi all, I'm new here and after some advice. I have recently upgraded to a 6x2x2 aquarium. Previously I had a Juwel Rio 400 with the internal filter plus an All Pond Solutions 2000ef plus the APS booster acting a pre-filter, with main filter full of K1 media that's currently on the new tank but need to add more filtration to tank. I have seen a few filters, those catching my eye are:
Maidenhead's Aqua manta CFX600 (Also Aqua One versions)
Resun ef-2800

I have been on AqAdvisor and it says that the Aqua one version of aqua manta is less filtration than my APS 2000, which is unlikely.

I am also about to order a wave maker, I have been recommended the 12000lph APS wave maker, would that be too much flow?

Little info on tank.
Sand substrate.
Oak branch
Granite rocks
3 x 20w 6500k LED Floodlights.

Current Inhabitants are:
2 Gold Severums
2 Green Severums
1 Red spot Severum
2 Jack Dempsey
2 T bar cichlid
1 Nicaraguan Cichlid
4 Geophagus Altifrons
1 Pearsei
12 Giant Danios.
Most growing on.

hope this helps on the wave maker

was thinking of getting one myself so let me know how it goes

Ordered the 12000lph wave maker.
Should it get another All Pond Solutions 2000 or an Aqua Manta EFX600?

I like the APS filters, I run two 2000ef on most of my tanks :)

What size tank do you run the two on?

Juwel rio 400, heavily stocked with american cichlids, they do the job perfect :)

Do you find the flow varies as it pleases?
