Also your girl even though a little niped is still a very pretty one pippoodle

thanks hun will post pics of my other girls when i can get them lol
little buggers are so active

pip, I think you have a male in your sorority. Those pale vertical stripes on the sides of a dark female are classic breeding stripes, and are very rarely displayed unless an adult male is present. The fact that 11 out of 24 females are displaying them, and also that they're getting eggy, is very suspect. The nipping and aggression is as well, because 24 females (which I am assuming are of similar age and may even have been raised together) added to a suitable tank (your tanks are always suitable, you know what you're doing) at the same time would be expected to show very little aggression. Also, the female in the pic looks very stressed. Faint stress lines, splayed posture of the fins and the alert expression even though she's resting and looks exhasted. Hard to explain what I'm looking at really but the way she's sitting is saying to me 'I'm scared'.

I could be wrong but just have a look... unless you got these females directly from a breeder you trust, a plakat showing up in there wouldn't be the least unusual.

The male was temporarily in a floating breeder while the females where in his tank for half an hour before they went to their 2 sorority tanks , they have gone into 2 community tanks 12 in each - hubby was doing water changes on them so didnt want to put the females in until they were done :) - they hadn't long arrived so they were really stressed all were very pale liney as they were in bags of 6 and lots had nipped fins ,
Thats her looking 100% better than she did and now she's perfect - fins healing

Thanks for the note though hun - a lot of the females are very eggy and now dont nip at all - i'm picking a female to go with remy

i always appreciate your advice hun :) - am posting pics of the other females on another thread so if you could check them it would be appreciated

thanks Sarah x
