i dicided to redo my 55g tank and it had some mollies in it, but i traded them in for some credit at a lps. So now i want to make it a "small community" tank and there is salt in the water. so i have to get of the salt before i add any new fish. how would i go about removing it all would just some large water changes get enough of it out?

Hi Mikaila31 :)

If you do a large water change, say 50%, you have removed half of it already. Another 50 % water change will dilute it a total of 75%. Unless you have an especially large concentration of salt, or plan to add extremely sensitive fish, that should be diluted to a safe point. The rest will be removed over the course of your next few regular water changes.

If you have been using regular aquarium salt, corys, platys, guppies, gouramis, and most other fish should be OK with that. Loaches and other scaleless fish might not be. It might be a good idea, if you know what kind of fish you want already, to ask about this in the specific forums for them. :D
