Removing salt from a tank.

Hi, I bought a tank which has been used for marine fish. I have cleaned it and filled it, but it still has salt in it? whats the best way to remove the salt? I want to put my golden bristlie babies in there!

maybe try cleaning the tank with scalding hot water and a hell of alot of scrubbing
thats all i can think of
