Removing Festivum

iv got my festivum and its ripping my angels fins to shreads so taking it back tomorrow
i cant understand why its so aggressive though because everywhere else i read they are peaceful
every cichlid i gets seems to be aggressive even though it says they are peaceful
can you ever win? iv got a 75 gallon tank and dont want to fill it will tetra's and platys but every larger fish i get is overly aggressive
dont see how some of you do it with 5 or 6 large cichlids suprised they dont kill eachother

Because we are selective over mixes/sexes and sized when they are introduced.

Your Festivum is probably a territorial male who was added after he was sexually mature.

Plus Angels are hit and miss with anything...I have seen them mixed successfully with Convicts and Oscars but seen them torn to pieces by peaceful things like Blue Acaras and Kribensis.
